Most Internet Explorer(IE) Users will experience some problem when trying to download
course materials uploaded in i-Learn. Please follow the following steps in order to download
the materials.
Steps 1: Click on the link with the clip icon (Figure 1)

Steps 2: Empty window or Information bar
Once user click on the link, two things can happen depending on the files to be downloaded. Word,
PowerPoint, Excel will popup an information bar. While zip, gz and the likes will popup an empty
window. Please follow whichever steps appropriate:
i) If an empty window appear, and the window disappear again, please follow steps 7 on how to switch
off the popup-blocker. Popup-blocker is a built-in feature incorporated in Internet Explorer (IE).
It is design to prevent any unwanted popup. Again, please proceed to steps 7 in order to remove popup-blocker.

ii) If an information bar appear, just click OK. Proceed to step 4 on ways to turn-off popup blocker.

Steps 4: Yellow bar
Once clicking OK on the Information bar, you will notice that there is a yellow bar appering at the top of the
i-Learn webpage. The bar will turn blue whenever user click or put mouse over it. Please click on the bar.

Steps 5: Download File
After user click on the bar, a popup will appear. Please click on Download File.

Steps 6: Hooray, can already download file
After clicking on Download file, your browser will refresh itself and brings you to the MyCourse page.
Not to worry. Just browse back to the location where you would like to download the file, and click
on the link again. This time you should get a File Download dialog. Click open or save
depening on your preferences. To disable popup-blocker permanently, please follow steps 7.

Steps 7: Switch off popup-blocker
To switch off pop-up blocker, on the menu bar, click on Tools -> Pop-up Blocker -> Turn off Pop-up Blocker.
Now click again on the link, a pop-up panel will appear asking whether user would like to open or save the file. Click
on save to save the file or open to open the file.
